Wing Chun
Legend has it that Wing Chun originated from necessity, and most importantly a LADY!! In order to marry her sweetheart rather than a warlord, she had a condition proposed to the warlord.
If he could beat her at a fight, she would marry him. Well, she Wing Chun him alright and married her sweetheart and lived happily ever after (ok, i jest).
Wing Chun is named after this fiesty lady after she successfully used a boxing style taught to her by a buddhist nun.
Wing Chun techniques emphasize practicality and efficiency to maintain its ideals on effectiveness. Strikes are intended to injure or disrupt the target. Efficiency in Wing Chun is based on the concept that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Likewise its primary targets all lie along the "centerline" of one's opponent.
Wing Chun was made more famous because Bruce Lee practised it during his younger days.
